Coast to Coast Road Trip

Daily writing prompt
You’re going on a cross-country trip. Airplane, train, bus, car, or bike?

If I am crossing a country, I’d better be buying a rental car because there is no way I’m putting that many miles on my car. The only other option I’d consider is taking a train across the continent because I’d get to see everything as we pass by. I’ve taken a flight across the country, and I didn’t see half of what I thought I would because of the cloud layer. So, if somehow, I managed to be allowed to rent a car at my current age, I would drive across the country. I’d visit the Grand Canyon, Mt. Rushmore, the Rocky Mountains, and whatever else I can’t seemingly remember about the landmarks of the United States.

I’d probably travel across the country on a road trip after graduating, though I haven’t planned any post-Graduation plans out just yet. If we could take a van that we could ride around in throughout the trip. That trip would be the most chaotic thing I’ve ever experienced, but I would be so excited to be in that chaos because it would be the product of all my colleagues interacting with one another.

If I were traveling somewhere the train system was nicer, I’d take the train without a doubt. Like in Europe or Japan, I’d take the trains any day. In Europe, I could go cross continent without having too many issues, aside from paying the fares for the ride because I don’t know those prices if I’m being honest. Japan’s train system has heated interiors for the subways, something that the American subway system apparently doesn’t, I guess. Especially with the Cherry Blossom Festival approaching in Washington D.C., I’ll probably be taking a train up there to avoid fighting the pedestrian and car traffic so I can see the blooms again.
