Once I was as bright as the sun,
But now that story's done.
Sometimes I see him in my reflection,
Sparks glimmer on my complexion
Now I drift in the dark,
Wrestling with the unyielding shadows.
Every once in a while, I see a spark,
Former glory shining in my shallows.
Twilight glimmers upon the horizon,
Light and Shadow uniting as one.
I drift atop the murky water,
Embracing change as this scene burns hotter.
