When the gods and goddesses created this world
Taking a barren rock and crowning it
With the immense blessing of beautiful life.
Vihiara, Queen of the Cosmos, found the planet
Protecting the infantile world from danger
Swatting asteroids and comets from the planet.
Perigor, Lord of Order and ruler of all,
Brought rigid structure to the planet
He forced the tumultuous storms to calm.
Ubelyta, Lady of Chaos, tipped the scales,
Sending tornados and twisters swirling
Tearing the ground into smithereens.
It was the arrival of Ellewyn
Balancer of the realms to restrain
Rampaging Chaos and indifferent Order.
After the planet was balanced,
The other deities descended from above
Bringing Light and Life alongside
Fire, Lightning, Water, Darkness,
Earth, and Death all at once.
Nirel, the life bringer, forged life
From clay: first dragons and elves,
Then plants, animals, and new humans.
Mashalek, Lord of Death, cut down
Each creature with heavy-handed sweeps
Of his harvesting scythe, balancing life.
Cerci, goddess of light, judged the mortals
With harsh codes and sent them screaming
To the Underworld with Death.
Cilmania, the witty goddess of darkness,
Taught humanity to hunt and gather
Before resting among the elves.
Yet the God of Death gifted humanity
On the Eastern coast of the Island
The first touch of monarchy.
Perigor codified law these new humans
Scattered in small villages
Couldn’t unify themselves alone
So, the deities granted them society
And were revered and worshipped
Goddess of Water, Elenirah, bore in her womb
The progenitor of the Ilmarian Royal Family
A Northern kingdom sired by goddess and man.
Mashalek founded Driktha in the East
Among a band of ruffians and cutthroats
Snakes devouring one another at nauseum.
Lord of the Flame and Peace, Theorellius,
Settled in the West in Tatsunia
Hoping to save the militaristic kingdom.
Zell-tarim, God of Lightning and the Sky,
Inspired an independent City-State
In the depths of Tatsunia’s grasslands.
While Aegis, Lord of Protection, blessed
The Northernmost lands of Ilmaria
From the blistering unending cold.
