If I had my favorite place to read, I’d probably have a nice cozy library style room like you see in tv shows. I’d have so many bookshelves lining the walls. The only wall that wouldn’t have any books would house a fireplace. There would be a modest desk with a comfortable chair while a window would sit behind me to provide soothing natural light. I’d have the ceiling decorated with nebulae and other space designs, though the artistry would be glow-in-the-dark. My desk would be a form of safe haven when I am tired and need time away from people. Plus, the space theme would be really relaxing while I am trying to think of new ideas.
I’d need to have a fireplace during the winter for the aesthetic and comfort throughout the longer nights. There’s just something about the way that fires crackle that make them so cozy. However, the flames would need to be controlled very well to maintain the books for years in the future. As my sanctum, this office would need to be perfect for protecting the books long-term. If I could have a humidity gauge set to a certain level to protect the books, then I would undoubtedly have the fireplace.
