Chlorophyll

Leaves crunch underfoot
Rambunctious rodents scurry
Through vast red, yellow, and green seas
Aircraft glide off the wooden carrier
Whilst the fleets shed their summer clothes
Summer's warmth lingers after noon
In the eve, Winter's kiss bites
On the Eve whence All Hallows return
Dark green tendrils cling to the bark
Yet, the sun hasn't set on this chapter
For cold winds doth not blow here.
