Fall

Oppressive sunlight still scorches the skin
A reckless remnant of Summer's tyrannical rule
Harvest season inching closer and closer
Marching in step with the retreating day

Colors hang all over the place,
Green, Orange, Red, Yellow and even Brown
A glimmer of white through rose-painted leaves
All of whom destined to sink to the ground below

Frigid air blows in from the North,
Frost blanketing windshields and
Festive decorations flood the aisles
Say hello to Fall, for Winter is near
