Moonlight

One night when the moon beamed full overhead,
I waltzed to a beat to which only I was led
As I twirled and lifted my arms up high,
You descended down from the sky
Clad in a white dress sewn together with black lace
The tempo hastened upon our whims
Each step thundering
Hearts fluttering
Till lips locked
Both left shocked
But
Sadly,
In the end, I found myself dancing alone
