This week’s uploads will feature a great deal of poetry alongside a new character dossier for Arabella. I’m just working on citations for the historical articles I needed to round out the story. The character drawing is finished and the backstory is written. Additionally, I’ve been going through and collecting some of my older poems to upload alongside writing new ones for these next few weeks. It really puts things into perspective on how hard I worked to crank out content in the past. However, I’ll be locking in on a new theme for my poems in the next few weeks, so we shall see what happens. If anyone has any recommendations for themes, comment them down below. In the meantime, here are a few poems I wrote a few years back….

A couple things:
First, I love the use of rhyme scheme. The poets of our time seem quick to dismiss rhyme as cheesy or reductive, but I think it challenges us to write with a patience and consideration that at times seems absent in free verse. Being able to commit to and execute a rhyme scheme that contributes to the experience of the poem is a hard-earned effort. Good job!
As for theme, I think of you as the starboy, the cosmonaut. You often approach poems through the atmosphere of space and patterns of light and darkness, not a few featuring great celestial godesses and demons. I’m curious to see what a poem of yours would be like with the space helmet off. This isn’t meant to be dismissive of your perspective and current style, nor am I suggesting that you abandon space for earth forever. But since you’re willing to work within the confines of rhyme, I wonder how you would fare within the figuritive confines of life on earth in your poetry.
